This is free interactive, discussion based event for Appetite for Angus Regional Food Group, was supported by SAC Consulting with funding from the University Innovation Fund from the Scottish Funding Council.

This session explores

• How to improve your product’s marketing and explore the power of storytelling

• How to develop your product’s story

• How to network with other businesses in your region

As we navigate these difficult trading times and deal with many challenges, it is important to ensure that your product stands out and gets noticed. Whether you are targeting a retail or foodservice buyer or selling direct to the consumer your story can make all the difference.

A brand’s story is a key part of why people buy that brand. In this session we looked at ‘why’ – the cornerstone of a brand’s success. We then start to explore elements that can help you tell your brand’s story and how this can be developed. Are there links to local history and heritage; or perhaps your brand’s story is all about health and welfare; or perhaps supporting the natural environment? Don’t worry if you’ve never really considered your story, this event will help you explore the possibilities and enable you to start developing the story of your brand.
