Emily Parker’s Tearoom
Home baking is at the heart of the business with scones and Victoria sponge among the most popular. A variety of traditional cakes and puddings are made using locally sourced quality ingredients. A selection of ethically sourced loose-leaf teas from Jenier world of teas in Glasgow are served in teapots and china cups/saucers. Coffee is also served, for those that prefer, and we use locally roasted beans supplied to us by Sacred Grounds coffee roasters in Arbroath.

I am a fourth-generation baker and have been baking from the young age of ten having been taught by my great grandmother and grandmother. The tearoom is named after my Great grandmother as she was someone I greatly admired, having brought up 16 children on her own and still finding time to pass on her baking and cooking skills. I love all things baking and don’t just stop at cakes, I also make pastry products and even dabble a bit in bread making. I like to test my skills and will have a go at less traditional bakes, but I still always go back to the traditional.
